Making it’s debut in Butner, was the electronic target system. No more pit duty nor spotting scopes on the firing line!
Today was a double header. The first match was fired using my M1 Garand.
I started off ok in the slow fire prone with a 94-1X. I rushed through the rapid fire with a so-so 87-1X. Unfortunately, the slow fire standing did me in with an abysmal 70-0X.
For the second match of the day, I used my M1903A3 Springfield rifle.
Again, I did alright with a 92-0X in the slow fire prone. The rapd fire followed with an 83-0X. For the second time today, the standing slowfire was my downfall. My feeble effort earned me a 72-0X.
