Today was my last day of Christmas vacation. So; with a bright day in the works, a range day was called for. I did some load testing with my M1903A3. The new loads using 150gr. FMJBTs and weight segregated military brass showed an improvement.
In the photo below, you can see the acceptance sticker on the trigger guard from last year’s CMP Eastern Games.
I also had some good trigger time with my M1 Carbine. It was giving me fits during it’s last outing. It does not like the Aguila ball ammo that I had used previously. Today I tried some 110gr. FMJ PRVI Partizen ammunition. Much better functioning and an increase in accuracy! This means that I may take it along to the 2015 Eastern Games to compete in the Carbine Match.
Just for fun, I brought along what a friend has dubbed “The Belfast Gun”.
Yes, the muzzle brake is threaded on so “other” devices could be attached where legal.
I also tested my project gun I built for Mary’s use. Very accurate with just a minor reliability glitch. I have to tear it down again to work on the trigger reset.
